Once more unto the airdrop, dear friends, once more;
As the smoke clears from the initial airdrop, I review the field and prepare for battle as the highly influential Twitterati emerge unto Ideamarket.io
“Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;” The opening salvo from Act 3 of Shakepeares’s, Henry V. It has possible connotations with the truly epic launch that was the Ideamarket airdrop extravaganza. I don’t know how much, but a LOT of value was distributed to those who were smart, lucky, or cunning enough to qualify across the Arbitrum network.
Now the smoke is clearing I’m starting to get more of a feel for the way I have probably wrongly imagined how things are shaping up. So I thought it timely to share some of those delusions with you.
Before we hop straight in. A mention of my title. To be honest it just seemed cute. However, it does beg the question, “Who owns Shakespeare?” And, how does that sit for ideamarket? In relation to this I thought I would just register a few ideas in relation to this speech.
Shakespeare is now public domain, but here’s what I got on Ideamarket.io
https://literarydevices.net/once-more-unto-the-breach/
Literary Devices is the first website that comes up when you search for the term in quotation marks on google and presearch. Seems legit… I registered this on IM.
https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/56972/speech-once-more-unto-the-breach-dear-friends-once-more
Poetry Foundation comes in at number 2 on the search results, seems like a very cool resource. I listed the article here also to cover my bases.
https://poets.org/poem/henry-v-act-iii-scene-i-once-more-unto-breach-dear-friends
I like the site, it’s up there on the rankings.. Bullish so, I’ve locked that in also. Obviously, I took the time to register all of these domains at their home website also. Which leads to a good question.
Why am I Listing free articles on Ideamarket Ghostmarket?
Well, when you register a url on ideamarket you will be subject to interest generated by that listing in the future. (Currently, these incentives are not accruing interest although this is part of the roadmap, so you are basically getting in now and putting your bum on the seats of the urls you think are going to do well moving forward).
You can find all the details here:
https://docs.ideamarket.io/
But wait, there’s more.
Bearing in mind that I don’t really understand what’s going on. It got me thinking about how this value will be accrued into these urls, and what we will come to decide as a community is the most valid reference of a certain idea. I also don’t know the answer to that so for fun, I listed the listing of the search listing… Do you love it yet? :)
In the interests of balance. I also bought the Presearch search engine, which I have been using since 2018. ( It appears listing the article from presearch created an invalid url which I shall report, but I did manage to snag www.presearch.org).
Anyway, you get my point. Lots of ways to register what you think will be most important sources of info. I suppose the exact use-cases are still very much to be decided, maybe I just don’t know how it works properly. However, there’s going to be one heck of a lot of fun finding out! It’s literally the goldrush of the idea money generation. (Sound’s like a Prodigy Album).
So what happened at launch?
Not gonna lie. It was wild… From a Discord perspective, things went BALLISTIC. It’s actually quite a blur. a HUGE swam of people all arriving to receive what on all accounts an airdrop well worth having, however you look at it.
There were as you might expect scammers, looters and of course trolls. Some of trollers, really were quite impressive to be fair. Along with that though, came a new guard of propheteers. (The English dead, you might say if you wanted to really bend an analogy). These good yeoman, and yeopeople generally, did battle with these trolls and scammers in a discord chat that only reminded me of a battle scene from an extended version of LOTR.
Suffice to say the good guys won, and although some of the treasury was seemingly diversified into people who had different ideas. What was left afterward has been a host of warm and welcome additions to the discord community, that have left an amazing sense of encouragement to those people who have been knocking around for a while, watching the development of the project.
In a world where onboarding and adoption are not only buzzwords but absolutely necessary to the advancement of any idea, Airdrop day NAILED it. $IMO.
Let’s talk about growth baby
I’m not a numbers guy, but I know this. Number go up. At time of writing ideamarket surpassed a million dollars in value. I wasn’t really checking, but i don’t think it was that high before.. 1 million dollars of ideas.. ain’t that somethin’ :)
This is particularly impressive as it reflects money locked into the protocol that is not from the airdrop, (ie. money coming in from outside). $IMO is not actually available to buy your ideas in, which I have to say, I had misunderstood. While that is in a way, a bit of a shame, I think the ghost market surprise leveled the game out nicely and allowed people to get invested in other ideas. Like Vitalks article, which already has had 250K invested in its future value.
So what to do with your airdrop?
Not financial advice but if you are still reading this and you think it’s a good idea to sell your $IMO then frankly, you aren’t picking what I’m putting down. I’ll tell you what I did. I staked it and forgot it. Some may say that I will be wanting to forget it some more after this next airdrop. May their futures be full of interesting times.
For me, single-sided staking with any decent APR on a growing project that I’m proud to contribute to is a rare-pepe in my world, and I’m quite happy to sit back, light all the memes I can underneath this behemoth of protocol, and wait to find out what is in store. You are quite welcome to sell yours also, but don’t come telling me about it later.
The game's afoot: Follow your spirit;
That’s my five cents for today. I missed a million things I could have mentioned in detail but I rambled on too much, so alas. A couple of points on closing.
To echo sentiment I heard elsewhere. Was Vitaliks tweet the most relevant article to actually be purchased on IM, or is there shinier gold around? I registered this for free. Got it from someone way cleverer than me.. Might be nothing.. https://vitalik.ca/general/2021/03/23/legitimacy.html
I’m hopeful that the twitterati have got a lot more to lose by “dumping” their airdrops. This may actually contribute to a stronger than you might think price position in the near future. Also irrespective of any potential sell-off issues, I’m hopeful that there are many other smarter, richer and more creative versions of me out there ready to come in and support what is surely THE most interesting project in crypto.
"Epstein didn't kill himself"
I’m still looking at ways I can effectively analyze data as it happens on ideamarket. However, at this early stage metrics are still developing.
We can see though, both examples of people investing incredible designs, like https://ideamarket.io/i/61fad03e6288ad89cde2a750 Which is a Craft using an inertial mass reduction device registered on Google Patents.
Also importantly people with communities like Zachary Dash, who are using their influence to engage more sticky users.
Then there are people like me who are just shamelessly pumping their own bags, but getting hella APR while doing it.
You can follow me on twitter here.

One last thing…
I know I said I would stop, but I thought I might add. Recently, with inspiration from Sam Hebda. I bought the ENS domain KEEPITWEIRD.ETH I also registered the ens domain name page on IM as a url https://app.ens.domains/name/keepitweird.eth
I dont really need it because I also bought THEMEMELORDCOM.ETH which I now use… (donations welcome).
I would be very happy though to sell my spare domain name.
The only currency I will be accepting is my own Ideamarket profile token.

*I have just taken this opportunity to register the arbiscan page for my token address because why not*
Let me know if anyone is interested. I’m often to be found on the discord… Obviously lol.
And then..
I’m still bullish on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synchromysticism People are buying…
