Transmission begins being, beings.
It has been well documented that “Time is an illusion, Lunchtime, Doubly so.”
However rarely has that illusion been as rapidly changing as on the blockchain. Or in our case. On the blockchains. Pep8liens has become a great success despite no one really knowing what it was or indeed is. The original transmission was long, complicated, and vague. Deliberately so.
For those who persisted, a sense of intrigue and mystery brought them into an interdimensional web of hyper causality that has assembled an unlikely and motley crew of PEP8LIENS from all spectrums of the known universe.
Several methods of initiation were proposed, at various price points, from free to not free. The one thing that was required was interest, playfulness, and a bit of attention. It turns out that while PEP8LIENS do have assets to collect.
The community is in fact the ASSET.
If you made it this far. Congratulations. It’s about to get better. Before we get to the future. Let’s just recap quickly on what happened, and what evolved along the way.
The FROGCEPTION BRIDGE
FROGCEPTION was in part, the work of PEPE himself and I cannot lay claim to the idea. However, it has been by far the most important part of our project so far, without even being part of any toadmap. (Good job we didn’t have one so we can just trust ourselves to do what we want).
Some of you will know the history of the ultra-rare RAREALIEN token on xcp. But for those who don’t RAREALIEN is the head cornerstone of our entire project. A three-issuance asset, hyper memed into existence in order to forge the inception of a quest into other networks, taking forth the spirit of PEPE in a new guise, to thus provide a platform to liberate and popularise the concepts of freedom, decentralization, and positivity while democratizing entertainment and education and value. Almost entirely in the form of Frog JPEGS.
After the journey of cross-platform frogceptioning began. A magical cycle was incepted. (No I’m not joking). In short, fractions of fractions of tokens were issued into Ethereum and thus it was told that people came and collected these tokens, and with their attention became a value of conscious coagulation that enshrined the concept of PEP8LIEN existence into a very real reality.
What does that mean though?
I’ll try and keep it simple.

The idea is to take one of the initial RAREALIEN tokens and multiply its memetic power by measurably adding value to it and returning to the pond with greater than which it began.
We ALREADY did it. But here’s how. And here is how you can do it too. If you're quick. Or should I say? If it is your destiny.
To acquire your RAREALIEN.FROGCEPTION token on the XCP network you must:
Acquire 10 of THE RARE8lien Frogception Tokens on Ethereum.

That’s it! 1 RAREALIEN.FROGCEPTION will appear in your wallet. Consider yourself assimilated.
(Hot Tip: Some aliens have bought more than 10 tokens, some 1 extra, maybe as a keepsake? Although it should be known that without VERY specific designated allowance. Only 1 RAREALIEN.FROGCEPTION token will be allowed per person).
It should also be well noted that this function is manual and is prone to termination well before the exhaustive distribution of the resources. One should be reminded that PEP8LIENS is intended as nothing more than an entertaining experiment in art and scarcity. :)
A final peculiarity about THE RARE8lien Frogception Tokens on Ethereum and one of the aspects I find most pleasing is thus.
THE INCEPTION OF FROGCEPTION
Please note the small purple banner around the token. It was VERY kindly provided by https://fractional.art/ They had already verified our project which is outstanding and certainly not granted to anyone.
What is more fascinating still is that due to the peculiarities with tokenization currently. When you fractionalize an asset that is already fractionalized, ( As in this case, here.) You can not standardly include and actual image as a placeholder for the nft.
However, we collaborated with some great people at Fractional and they helped us to secure a thumbnail in the Fraction of the fraction. Unfortunately because of the way it is stored it THEY TOLD ME it was not possible to put a gif. only a jpeg.
AND THAT IS WHAT GAVE ME THE IDEA FOR THE FLUX CAPACITOR..
THAT MAKES TIME TRAVEL POSSIBLE!
Or something.
I’m sure you see. But that was the moment when looking for some use case for the initial GIF I had already made. The idea of the frogception portal dawned on me, and how cool it would be.
(UPDATE: in the end the team did add not only the jpeg but now a full gif of the original token with the purple border. Thanks again to the Tessera massive).
In truth I didn’t know if anyone would do it.. Do ANY of this to be honest. But they did.
As soon as it was mentioned several people were quick to claim their FROGCEPTION tokens and ceremonially burn their ETH to claim this RARE and truly scarce asset. I’m not here to name names and dox our friends but suffice to say have had tremendous support from people of all sorts of backgrounds. More than enough support is needed to help realize the importance of cross-pond, art-first communities.
So yeah, we are like the first token (i think) or one of, not only to have a fractional fraction of an xcp asset. But certainly, the first to have an image on the token.
Lots of firsts for sure. Some still unexplained, and many i’m sure still unknown. But that’s progress, and it’s thanks to you.
It has been briefly brushed over but clearly, there are a myriad of very similar collectibles available for erm collection. And perhaps (if you are like that) you are wondering about the potential for plugging these things in together, rugs, and all sorts of utility. Kek.
Don’t worry, so are we. One of the other main goals of PEP8LIENS is to share decent education and grow with each other. Money-Legos and still in their infancy and NFT legos are well… With partial exceptions, non-existent. Until now.
